Avon Pension Fund’s Employer Services’ team are here to support you every step of the way whether you are a new employer or have been with the fund for several years. Employer Services’ is made up of two teams: Employer Relations and Data Control.

Our Employer Relations team are here to help you meet your employer responsibilities and provide the best service to your employees. When you join the fund, we’ll assign you a Senior Pension Officer and a Pension Officer. They’ll be your main contacts—ready to answer your questions and guide you through your training.
Data Control

The Data Control team make sure all member data is accurate and complete. They check this regularly throughout the year and at the end of each pension year to meet all regulatory data requirements.
New Employers
When you join the Fund as a new employer, there are four main websites you should be aware of. Here is a breakdown for you to refer to, click each one to find out more:
- Globalscape: a secure online file transfer, that fund employers use to share secure data with Avon Pension Fund.
- i-Connect: the system you or your payroll provider will use to provide us with member data, upload leaver forms and request strain on fund reports.
- Avon Pension Fund employer website: a resource for employers to learn more about their responsibilities, complete leaver forms and stay up to date with news.
- Avon Pension Fund member website: a resource for members to access valuable information and create the personal pension account.
Monthly bite size training
Each month our Senior Pension Officers run bite size training sessions, the subjects we cover are:
- Year End Review
- How to avoid APF Fines
- Pension Renumeration
- Discretion policies
- Leaver forms
- Ill health retirement
- Assumed Pensionable Pay
- Strain on the Fund costs
- Casual staff
- AVC’s and APC’s
There will also be an ‘Open session’ twice a year for you to join to ask questions, seek advice or get to know us a little better.
Pensions Administration Strategy Statement
It is the responsibility of the Employer Relations Team to uphold the Pensions Admin Strategy and ensure that our Employers are meeting their employer Responsibilities. Failing to so may result in penalty fines and being reported to The Pensions Regulator. We see fining employers as a last resort and would much rather work with you, therefore if you are concerned that you are breaching your Employer Responsibilities please contact us.
