Could you represent Academies on the Avon Pension Fund Committee?

We're looking for an Academy representative to join the Avon Pension Fund Committee.

Location: Bath 
Commitment: Minimum 8 days a year + training (including 4 quarterly meetings and 4 preparation days)

The Committee

The Committee is the Fund’s formal decision-making body and aims to represent a broad range of stakeholders in the Fund. Committee membership includes employer and scheme member representatives, as well as three independent members. A meeting is held every quarter in Bath.

Role overview

An academy representative is a voting member who is nominated by academies to ensure views of this group of employers are represented on the Committee. 

The role of a voting member of the Avon Pension Fund Committee is to oversee and make decisions concerning the strategy and operations of the pension fund. This includes scheme administration, the investment and funding strategies and performance of the Fund, its advisors and service providers, plus governance of the Committee and the Fund.
