The Pensions Administration Strategy (PAS) was approved in principle by the Pension Committee in September. We now invite you to take part in an employer consultation to review the changes.

The consultation period for the Funding Strategy Statement (FSS) has now closed, and the Pensions Committee carefully considered the feedback at their meeting on Friday 26th September.

Following the announcement that the Local Government Services National Joint Council (NJC) 2025/26 pay award has been agreed and back dated to 1 April 2025, any members who have left or retired since 1 April 2025 will need their benefits recalculated using the revised pensionable pay. Our new online retirement estimates form is now live. You can request an estimate for ill-health, flexible and redundancy or efficiency retirements.

MHCLG has launched a consultation on changes to the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) in England and Wales. The proposed changes are intended to improve fairness in and access to the LGPS.

The consultation closes on 7 August 2025.

We’re rolling out multi-factor authentication (MFA) for i-Connect, to help keep the data you share with us safer. 

All employers will be using MFA for i-Connect by the end of July 2025.

Ahead of the implementation of the Pension Dashboard, it’s very important that all member addresses are recorded in the correct format, particularly the postcode.

This is because the address and postcode will be used to match members with their pension figures once the Pension Dashboard is live.
